Would you like that extra zing in your salad? This attractive tree has dark, glossy leaves and will provide fresh fruit over a long season. Tahitian or Key limes are easy to grow in a sunny aspect and should be sheltered from strong wind. Either plant in a tub or in the garden. Limes are loaded with Vitamin C and are perfect for use in salad dressings, marinades, with seafood or sliced in a Gin and Tonic.

Tahitian limes are the most common variety found in supermarkets. They can be used as a mixer for drinks, in dressings and as a garnish due to their seedless flesh and because they’re very juicy but not intensely fragrant. Tip: Before using limes, place them in hot water for a few minutes to assist in the release of oil from the skin making them more fragrant.

This plant comes in our medium-sized box and includes a gift card personalised with your message. The freight is included for delivery anywhere in New Zealand.

PLANTING AND CARE ADVICE

Plant in a sunny position with well-drained soil and protected from strong winds. Also suitable for planting in a container.

NORTH ISLAND

We aim to deliver orders received by 10am (Monday to Thursday) to main North Island centres within 2 working days. Please note; if an order is placed after 10am on Thursday it will not be dispatched until Monday as we don't want plants sitting in the courier depots over the weekend. Add 2-3 days for rural deliveries and outlying towns, as the courier may not deliver daily.

SOUTH ISLAND

Deliveries to South Island main centres take 2-3 working days if received before 10am, plus 2-3 days for rural deliveries and outlying towns, as the courier may not deliver daily.

We are also unable to arrange delivery on weekends.
